Enjoy the distinct flavour of roasted green tea with our Barista Edition, where First Harvest green tea leaves are roasted using traditional ceramic roasting. Leaves are placed in a porcelain pot and roasted over hot charcoal to develop mellow and nutty aromas reminiscent of roasted hazelnuts and rich malt. Finely milled to a pleasantly smooth soft powder, it is perfect for your creamy lattes, blended drinks and tea-infused dessert creations. Low in caffeine, Hojicha lattes can be enjoyed any time of the day (a great coffee alternative!). Choose from our three uniquely roasted blends:

Kurashikk, Kagabo, Kuro

Kurashikk: Our best-selling blend with a classic, medium roast level and a well-balanced flavour. A crowd-pleaser with distinct notes of cocoa and earthy undertones will transform your cream fillings and sweet & savoury recipes while leaving the mouth with a sweet, caramel, nutty aftertaste.

Kuro: Bold and smoky. Our darkest roast delights not only tea lovers but coffee drinkers alike with its bold, dark chocolatey flavours.  With low caffeine content, you can savour the smoky, coffee-like creamy latte in the afternoons and evenings. Plus, it is a star ingredient for dry-baked creations like cookies which needs a bolder flavour to stand up against other distinct ingredients.

Kagabo: Our most delicate and fragrant blend is made with only green tea stems grown on the mountain slopes of Shizuoka, where the high altitude temperature gap produces misty fogs that cover the tea fields. The tea leaves soak up the gentle fog and protect the leaves from sunlight, producing a clean, mellow, sweet flavour.

*Hojicha powders are best enjoyed when blended with milk or used in desserts. Not recommended as a tea.

100% Stoneground Roasted Green Tea Powder


*1 teaspoon Hojicha Powder
60 ml 80°C (175°F) filtered water

*180 ml milk (we used oat milk)

Optional: 1 teaspoon sweetener (maple syrup, honey or coconut sugar, brown sugar)

1. Whisk 1 teaspoon of Hojicha Powder and 60 ml of 80°C (175°F) filtered water together by using a traditional bamboo whisk, an electric milk frother, or spoon.

*If desired, add 1 teaspoon of sweetener and stir.

2. Steam and froth 180 ml milk.
Pour the hot milk into your tea bowl or mug and enjoy your rich and creamy Hojicha Latte~
